Math Three
Third rotation math is about building a strong foundation of basic math skills and building on them as we move through this year. Math is not our strength or our favorite yet, but it will be. We need to learn our multiplication facts and play math games (see the Math Links page).
We will have homework two or three nights a week, but I would prefer if you would limit your child's time to no more than 30 minutes of math work. If your child does not finish in 30 minutes and you see that more time is not going to help him/her understand it better, please just write me a note to let me know your child has been responsible and tried to complete the work. Students often forget directions or the steps needed to complete math homework and I do not want math to ever create anxiety or tears in my students. If you ever have a question or concern, please email, text, or call me (my number should be in the front of your child's agenda). Students may text me with their questions as well. Communication is key to a student's success.
